The person behind Hound Town.

Hi, I’m Madeleine.

Farm kid, designer, dog lover.

I grew up on a farm in regional WA, so caring for animals has always been second nature. After 20+ years working in design and branding, I wanted to build something more hands-on — something that combined creativity with practical care.

My own dog Norman (a joyful, mud-loving spoodle) helped spark the idea for Hound Town. With a Certificate III in Animal Care Services and a deep love of dogs, I set out to create the kind of place I’d want for him.

The location was everything

This is the community I live in and walk Norman in. But despite the number of dog-loving households here, there wasn’t a large, thoughtfully designed daycare nearby — most options meant heading into industrial areas further away.

Hound Town is our answer to that. A convenient, local place where Western Suburbs dogs can spend the day playing, resting and socialising while their humans get on with work.

A Daycare Designed for Dogs

At Hound Town, our days are structured to balance play, rest and enrichment so dogs stay happy and relaxed rather than overstimulated. With generous space, small group supervision and a calm approach to handling, we aim to create an environment where every dog can feel comfortable.

Some dogs arrive ready to party. Others take things a little slower. Either way, we meet them where they’re at.

Our Team

Of course, great spaces only work when the right people are in them.

Norman

With a vision for snacks and belly rubs, he is chief tester at Hound Town. Responsible for rolling out our activities to make sure his friends will have a good time. Has been known to write a few emails in his time too.
